A Heart for the Supernatural - Pastor Stuart Price

Our God is the God of the natural & supernatural world; of things

possible & impossible without limitations. The Bible is full of

accounts of God bringing about a miraculous change in natural people’s

lives who work the laws of faith. He never changes; therefore, He is

willing & able to put His ‘super’ onto our natural to bring the

supernatural onto our lives today. Is there anything too hard for the Lord?

God puts miracles in our lives to manifest His glory and to reinforce our

    faith.

In the recent Federal Election victory speech, our Prime Minister, a

born-again believer said, “I believe in miracles!” And “I will burn for

you." Pastor’s heart leapt when he heard these things. The landslide

election victory was a miracle, that many believers cried out to God for

intervention; seeking that the righteous to rule, through prayers of faith

& releasing our blood-bought authority. If you want to see the

supernatural things of God operating for us & through us, it is vital

to seek first, the ways of the Spirit, “walking by faith & not by

sight” 2 Corinthians 7:8, diligent to keep the fire of the Holy Spirit

burning in us being “fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in

hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer” Romans

12:11-12, as we “set our minds on the things above, not on the things on

    the earth” Colossians 3:2.

At Spirit Life, this is our focus, to flow with Gods Spirit & see real

change in lives around us as mature sons & daughters. Ask yourself,

where is my heart focused? DO YOU BELIEVE in miracles? Many will say that

they believe in miracles but yet will not see Gods supernatural operating

in their life due to fear, doubt & unbelief that exists in their life

when it comes to them actually operating & believing God’s word for

their own need. [See the message on the 19th May, the message on Fear.] Our

actions & words accurately reveal whether our heart is of faith or fear

& on what we have set our affections – the temporary or the eternal.

After all, Jesus said that our heart will be where our treasure is.

What is your treasure today? What value do we give Gods purposes verses the

things we work so hard for in life? Proverbs 4:23 in the Passion

Translation says” So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for

they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your

innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.”

The condition of a person’s heart or centre of their being is what God

looks at. It is out of that well/heart that life or death, faith or anxiety

will flow – the choice is ours alone. God seeks those whose heart is for

Him - hungry & thirsty for more of Him, giving more time for worship

& expecting to see God glorified through opportunities to see the

supernatural operate daily. Mature sons confidently put demands on Gods

word through faith & have great hope (intense expectation) that it is

only a matter of time, but that the answer is on its way.

Our heart condition is vitally important in Gods plan for revival &

seeing unbelievers changed. How great a treasure is contained within YOU?

Let us not keep our light under a basket but be The Church (salt &

light to the world) sharing our supernatural treasure with others that we

encounter daily…. being ready to act when we see the harassing of the

enemy. We have such good news to tell this lost & desperate world.

Read 2 Kings 7, we see a situation that looked like certain doom – the

enemy had besieged the city & extreme food shortage was killing the

city, but God used the little to make a great outcome. 4 lepers, outcasts

& undesirables got desperate enough that they did something. How

desperate are we to see God move on our behalf? God will always do

something for us when we use his ways of faith & get hungry for more of

God. Sometimes we just are not desperate enough, or too self-sufficient to

have to push into faith, prayer & Gods Word or we have a plan B, plan C

etc. Notice that verse in v4-5 the lepers had to move forward for God to

bring the miracle…..” faith without works is dead”. Also, v12 shows how

unbelief will rob – negativity will always kill any dreams & stop God

    from acting.

What are you facing today? Is it too hard for God? Put God into the picture

& lean on Him with all your might, strength & soul. God will turn

up & do something great! So let us pursue Gods goodness, Gods plan for

this world, Gods ways of walking by the Spirit – as we seek to go deeper

    into His river of life.
