Calling in Your Harvest - Steps on Bringing in Your 'Due Season' - Pastor Stuart Price

We started this year with the resolve to focus on living life “filled with

the Spirit” [Ephesians 5:18] on a daily basis. This means feeding our

spirit on the Word, building up our faith speaking in tongues &

acknowledging the Lord in all we do & listen for the Spirit’s leading.

Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due

season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”God intends for us to enter

His rest by our total reliance on the Holy Spirit. Doing it in our strength

will only get us so far before we tire out & feel the pressure of the

spiritual war that comes against us. So how can we bring ‘due season’ to

    pass then?

There are physical laws like gravity that will always work, unless it is

superseded by another law; like the law of lift in the case of an airplane,

where strong forward thrust & aerodynamics of plane wings overcome

gravities pull towards the earth. The same is true in the spirit. God’s

laws also will work every time as long as we continue in His ways,

operating with the thrust of faith. Take thrust out of the way for the

plane & gravity will have its way. Take faith out of a Christian &

the enemy & cares of this world will cause us to give up or destroy our

harvest through wrong declaration from our mouth.

God said in Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime & harvest

shall not cease.” We should think of it as a 3 step process – sowing seed,

then time to grow, then harvest. God’s ways are sure & will always work

without fail. You can expect it! Harvest will always come but the process

of time can be different for each seed & this is where we must remain

expecting the harvest in faith. Standing against discouragement during this

period by walking in the spirit & not leaning on our own understanding

but reliance on our ‘Helper’ until due season is here. Faith says ‘due

season’ is now! It is time for the harvest of souls on earth & for the

sons & daughters to reap their result of their faith. Do you believe

    it?

7 Steps Towards Getting Your Harvest

    1. Sow a seed for your harvest. Galatians 6:7 says “whatever a man sows,

that will he also reap.” We must sow good seeds. What seeds are we sowing

& what to what measure are we doing it? Our seed must match what we

need from the harvest. Luke 6:38 tells us with the same measure we use, it

will be measure back to us. Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 about sowing with a

good heart attitude believing in the law of faith that it will work every

    time for me.

    2. Get aggressive about reaping your harvest. A common misconception is

that we sow & God will do the harvest. But we should be seeking it,

expecting it at anytime now. Praising God that my harvest is on its way. As

a church we are believing for a harvest of souls into the kingdom &

expect church growth – join your faith together for a multiplication

effect. Let us be ready to minister the gospel where ever we are. Sowing

into God’s business will do wonders towards reaping in our business. After

all, these eternal matters are what really count when its all said &

    done.

    3. Don’t give up on your seed. Galatians 6:9 – don’t faint & loose

heart. Discouragement during the wait period is what kills a seed. Keep

trust in God & His ways – praise is a great way to stop discouragement

    – praising Him for the coming harvest is an act of faith. Let your emotions

& words match our seeds & be according to what you have sown. God

sees all & He never forgets your seeds sown in faith. Trust in Him

    above all!

Just as in the natural a healthy garden needs constant care, so does your

seed sown. Settle it in your mind, that Gods system of sowing & reaping

by faith is sure & faithful. Next week we will look at the other 4

steps. Remember that now is our time, so “Arise, shine; For your light has

come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”
