Christ Jesus is Lord - Pastor Stuart Price

Jesus is the source of our new life and the One by whom we enter into our

new birth, the born-again experience that He talked of in John 3 to

Nicodemus. Jesus IS our Lord, our hope and our redeemer.

Do you remember when you were born-again? The Bible tells us that Heaven

rejoiced when the ‘real-you’, your spirit person was recreated, and the

desire was birthed to learn about Christ began and your spiritual growth

    began.

Your name was entered into the Lambs Book of Life and angels were appointed

to your care but also this is when you started your own work in the

process. Just as the metamorphous change of the monarch caterpillar in the

butterfly requires effort by the caterpillar, so too, we also need to be

about the work of transforming our mind, with the help and guidance of the

Holy Spirit to see ourselves changed into the person that God intends for

us. This requires us to be feeding on His word, praying, attending church

whenever the doors are open and keeping the fire of God fuelled and burning

    within our spirit.

The foundation of our new life is based in belief, faith and trust in God

and what He has already done for us and NOT in what we must do. Our work is

simply to enforce the victory that has been won for us. This requires

practice, persistence & acting on truths even if our mind doesn’t

    understand them…

It is a fact of life that storms and pressures will come to everyone’s

life, this is a reality of living in a fallen world, but the difference

lies in what is the foundation of our life. Our life’s foundation must be

on the rock of Jesus which is solid and unchanging and then we will be able

to weather the storms and have our ‘house’ be still standing after the

    storm has passed.

A wise person once said, “Never make a permanent decision based on a

temporary storm.” Or never make a big decision when you are at a low point

of your life but only make them when all is well, and you are feeling on

top of everything – then you will make the right choice.

In Luke 8 we can read of the account of a man named Jairus who is in a

desperate place, his only daughter was on the brink of death – he

desperately needed Jesus’ help. This was a major storm that Jairus was in

and his mind would have been full of fear over having his daughter die.

The area of our soul where our mind is located is always the battlefield of

our life where wars will come in from the pressures of life. If we allow

this fear and doubt to remain, the effect will drag us down into dark

hopeless places. This is where the testing of our foundation of faith,

believing and trust in Jesus is revealed.

Notice in Luke 8:49, after the delay in Jesus coming to his house by the

woman with the issue of blood, when Jairus’s mind must have been screaming

with panic, the dreaded news came “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble

the Teacher.” Jesus immediately gave Jairus the battle-plan – v50 “ Do not

be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”

Remember Gods ways are not the worlds ways & He has made walking in the

spirit about belief & trust which the logical-mind will wrestle with

but never-the-less His ways are truth & power and “she will be made

well” would be the final result.

When your battle is on, never speak any words of fear, only declare Gods

word, pray loudly in tongues continually which builds your faith and allows

the Holy Spirit to pray through you. Remind yourself that if God is for you

then who could possibly come against you with any greater strength.

Reach inside yourself and pull yourself up personally with the strength of

Christ that is in you already. In this scripture we see 2 people who

despite their fears & insecurities, chose to hold onto their faith in

Jesus & both received their miracle by acting by faith at the crucial

times of their storm or battle.

Our God is the God of the impossible and it is never too late for Him to

bring breakthrough. Notice that Lazarus came out of the tomb after 4 days,

but Jesus had to rebuke Martha’s unbelief. God had the Israelites keep

their mouths shut as they march around Jericho & Jesus jumped in before

    Jairus could speak.

Therefore: watch what you say in these important times…. put out negativity

[Lk8:51], speaking in tongues as much as possible & “ONLY BELIEVE” and

you will see the glory of God manifested in your life!

Now you have a testimony to share with others which brings God glory and

deeper strength and faith building to your own house that you may stand and

continue to stand strong until the end.
