Faith Working Through Praise

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7

Living a life of praise is not only the most enjoyable way to live, but its also one of the most powerful ways to change your life.

Praise isn't like the caboose that just follows what happens, but its more like the engine of a train that makes things happen. Your faith isn’t complete without praise. Colossians 2:7 says that you abound in faith with thanksgiving. No thanksgiving equals not abounding in faith. Praise is the highest expression of faith.

Darren Jellard said about the ABC of faith.

A. Agree with the Word
B. Believe the Word
C. Confess the Word

It’s one thing to read God’s word and to confess the world, but there's something very powerful about praising God for His word. Praise releases the faith needed to bring deliverance. Paul and Silas in prison Acts 16:25 where praying and singing at midnight, and God sent a great earthquake so that all the prison doors came open and all chains fell off. Your raise will set others free also.

Psalm 22:34 God inhabits the atmosphere of praise. When we lift our voices in praise it surrounds our Lord, and releases His Holy Spirit on our behalf. We used to sing a song ‘Praise is the power of Heaven, Praise is the power that opens the door, to the king, the king of kings.’

2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (Please read) Tells us that there is power in the unity of praise, thanksgiving and music. Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

How powerful is that ‘I will, Bless the Lord, His praise shall be in my mouth.’ We have a choice as to whether we turn to the Lord, or we continue to hang onto the feeling that keeps us down. Everyday we have to make choices, and according to the ones we make, we reap the consequences of them. Over the ears in my own life I have proved that, praise is the tool that lifts me up. As Isaiah 61:3 says ’To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.’

Put on praise, like you would put on your closes. Speak praise concerning the promises of God’s word and you will be released from bondages, and insecurities. Praise helps you to take your eyes off yourself and place them on the Lord you helper.

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Many people lack faith, many more lack praise. Let me encourage you, that God’s principles work, and will work for you as you put them into practice.

Praise is not a one time thing, it is a lifetime thing that you need to do everyday. An attitude of gratitude making it a habit to express praise, thankfulness and appreciation in all areas of your life. We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of praise and worship.

Start today to change your life by what you say.

Have an awesome week.
