Free from Bondage in 2018

 

Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her. “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” and he laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God. Luke 13:11-13

I feel excited about this year in my spirit. That this is going to be a year where bondages broken and many are set free.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

I was looking at the significance of the number eighteen in the Bible, (Symbolic meaning for bondage). We see in Luke 13 this unnamed woman, is known by God very well. She came to the house of God on the Sabbath, and to her it was just another day in all the long 18 years that she could not walk straight. But this day Jesus was in the house!! We need Jesus and His presence in the House every time we gather to worship.

God is the God of suddenly, and maybe you have been under bondage for many years and now it is your time on God’s calendar, that sickness and infirmity are broken. Believe that 2018 is your year to walk in new places, and overcome things that need to be smashed in your life.

This is what I see taking place this year, as we preach and pray for the sick, and release the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit! Many will be set free. What is a spirit of infirmity or a disabling spirit or a sickness caused by a spirit? Quite simply, this spirit is a demon who caused the woman to be a cripple 18 years. One encounter with Jesus, is all it took to set her free! One encounter with Jesus is all it will take to set you and I free! Put yourself into a position in 2018 for that encounter.

No 8 means  - New beginning, New birth, Resurrection, Regeneration. 2018 will be a great year for all of us and millions of people around the world to be set free from habits, addictions, disease etc.

 

 

 

Parochialism

One morning in December 2017 at 5am I am walking from the bedroom to the kitchen, and I heard the Holy Spirit say Parochialism. ‘What!.” I have never heard that word in my life, didn’t know how to spell or even say it. When Colleen came out we talked about what I heard Heaven say. So we started to research this word.

Parochialism means - A state of mind, A limited or narrow outlook. It’s a Latin word for church parish. Inward looking, conservative, small mindedness. “Wow Holy Spirit, what are you saying to me? Am I a small thinker? I need to believe for much more.” Most Christians are not looking at the vast capabilities of God. People are caught up in the everyday life humdrum. We have to look at How Big our God is. I do not want to have a Parochial mind and as said in Isaiah 78:41-42 They limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His Power.

Let 2018 be your year to go to new heights and places in God. Don’t be enslaved to any spirit of infirmity.

Jesus said in Luke 4:18 ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Because He has anointed me to Preach, Heal, bring Deliverance, Recovery of Sight, Set the Oppressed free.

We are all anointed ambassadors for Christ 2 Corinthians 5:20
