God Has Already Provided.
Last Sunday we celebrated our church 10th birthday. What a great day it was, as we reflected on the last 10 years. God has been so faithful and has blessed Spirit Life Church in so many ways, with great faithful people. Jesus said He would build the church.
A big thank you to everyone who helped and brought food to make lunch such a success.
Spirit Life is a growing family church, full of God’s love. We never want to move away from the DNA of Spirit Life, the name given to me by the Holy Spirit in 2008. Our heart and desire is to be a Spirit filled and Spirit led Holy Ghost empowered church.
I want to look at the thought ‘we already have it’ or God has already provided’ Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Ephesians was written from the perspective of what has already taken place, ‘Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings!’ Who has - past tense, it’s already been done. Everything that God has done for you has already been deposited into your born-again spirit. Although its already there, you must draw it out of the spirit and into the physical realm.
If God has already blessed you, which Ephesians 1:3 clearly reveals, then why do we keep asking Him to bless us? I think the reason we keep praying, asking, and seeking God’s blessing is because we don’t truly believe that we are already blessed.
Also I see Peter talking about ‘we already have it’ Lets look at 1 Peter 2:24b ‘By whose stripes you were healed’ Past tense, its a done deal. It is already there in the spiritual realm. We have just got to reach out and take it.
That is why Paul says in Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened. We just need a revelation of the finished work of the cross.
Then by faith we appropriate Gods word to our situation. I say often, I was healed 2000 yrs ago 1 Peter 2:24 ‘Were Healed!” I am already healed, and reach out and take it. You don’t need God to do something new. You just need a revelation of what He’s already done. It’s within you - In your Born Again Spirit.
Truth and knowledge will set you free. Years ago I heard a story about a man walking over a like that was frozen over. As he walked over it, he was caught up in fear, as he thought any minute he could fall through the ice and die. Fear so overcame him that he got on his hands and knees and slowly moved forward. Then he heard the noise of a horse and sled coming over the hill, then it came into sight and crossed the lake and disappeared out of sight. The man stood up, and with new boldness and knowledge that the ice was very thick, went on his way.
We need to start and say to ourselves, I am already blessed! I am already Healed! Truth and knowledge will change the way you pray and believe.
