Great Expectation

 

1 Peter 1:3-7 NLT 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by HIS great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by HIS power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

6 So be truly glad. [a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

In this passage of scripture we are told to live with great expectation, and that there is a pure undefiled inheritance beyond the reach of change and decay.

FROM THE MOMENT WE WERE BORN AGAIN. It is our inheritance!

Psalm 62:5 (NLT) 5  Let all that I am, wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. I can stand and expect Him to bring change into my life.

There is a stirring to lift our expectations -to have great expectations

Be Fully convinced God is well able. It is our right as a born again child of God. It is not a selfish thing, but an understanding of Who I am in Christ.

You have the right, without wavering.

Your expectations should be through the roof.

Matt 6:33 SEEK first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto you.

As we seek Him first, something has to change.

Put Him first then transformation will take place.

New heart, new soul, new mind.

Make a conscious decision to expect a change.

Have GREAT EXPECTATIONS!!!

Mark 5: there was woman with an issue of blood for 12 years, unclean, no hope, bound up, cast out of society, no future. She heard about Jesus Christ, and in her heart she makes a choice to push through. Her expectation level went through the roof, this is it, my life can change. She had to push through doubt, unbelief and rejection as well as the crowd of mockers. She reaches out and touches His garment, and immediately it was dried up.

From the moment we become born again we have the same right that she had that day, Immediately!!!!! She heard, she chose, she pushed through.

Be FULLY CONVINCED, UNWAVERING WITH GREAT EXPECTATION that His promises are for us all as we push through from Hope to Knowing.

It is our INHERITANCE! PURE AND UNDEFILED, BEYOND THE REACH OF CHANGE AND DECAY - (I am in absolute awe of this statement).

This week write down what you KNOW GOD is going to do in your life and PUSH through unwavering, with great expectation until it comes to fruition.
