It's All About Jesus - Pastor Stuart Price

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His

disciples, saying ‘Who do men say that I the Son of Man am?’ So they

said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one

of the prophets.’ He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ and

Simon Peter answered and said ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the Living

    God.’

    Matthew 16:13-16

Last weekend we celebrated Easter, the life, death, burial, and the

resurrection of Jesus. Easter is not only the joyous celebration of Jesus'

life, but a time to reflect on our lives as well. The call for every true

believer is to walk as Jesus walked.

Jesus himself made the calling in ‘If anyone would come after me, he must

deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me’

    Luke 9:23

Peter said ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.’ Christ comes

from Christos a Greek word meaning anointed. “the anointed on of God.’ The

Messiah, our Lord and Saviours, The Lamb of God. The Good Shepherd,

Redeemer, Prince of Peace, Jesus the Nazarene. ‘Its all about Jesus.’

The Church is not about entertainment, programs, popularity, size or

individuals. It should be all about the Son of God. A place where Christ is

worshipped, adored, and placed first. A Church that preaches God’s word,

and allowing the Holy Spirit to move in a powerful way. Jesus said ‘I will

    build My church’

A man once said to have great rabbit stew! ‘First catch the rabbit.’ He

knew how to put first things first. That’s what we do when we establish

priorities. We put the things that should be in first place in their proper

    order.

My one aim and outcome of this message is, you will begin to focus again on

Jesus as your Lord and Master. We can start out on a journey and get side

tracked. Many things can come and take us off course.

Consider the postage stamp! It’s usefulness consists in the ability to

stick to one thing till it gets there. As God’s people we want to be like

the stamp. Stick to the calling God has placed on your life. Stick to your

    love for Jesus.

In reading Hebrews 10:36 (MSG) But you need to stick it out, staying with

God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion. NKJ Bible says

‘For you have need of endurance.’

We are in for the long house on the road of faith and the finish line is in

    sight.

Everyday without fail, I want the name of Jesus to be on my lips, and for

praise to come out of my heart. What a beautiful name it is, the name of

Jesus. Many songs have been written about His wonderful name. ‘It’s All

    About Jesus’ He Is Lord.

“Where is Christ in your life today?”

    Have a great week

    Pastor Stuart & Colleen
