The Answer That Doesn't Look Like The Answer - Pastor Stuart

The Answer That Doesn’t Look Like The Answer

“Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money, take that and give it to them for Me and you” Matthew 17:27

On Sunday I was preaching on God’s miracle working power, and being obedient to His word, and by faith activation in God’s promises. Every day we should feed on the word, and allow it to guide our lives and build faith, and build muscles in the spirit man.

You word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Jesus and Peter had to pay the temple taxes and he said to Peter “go and catch a fish and it will have the exact amount of money in its mouth for you and Me! WOW! I wonder what was going through Peter’s mind? If it was you and I what would we be thinking?

God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts Isaiah 55:9

Peter didn’t argue with Jesus, he got his rod and bait and went to the sea. Phew just as Jesus said, the first fish had money in it's mouth. What a miracle, the fish had to find the money, be at the right place and time, and put a hook in it’s mouth and commit suicide. Jesus had the answer to a problem that didn’t look like the answer. God's word has every solution to every problem we will ever face, if we act on it by faith.

Trust in the Lord..... He shall direct your paths.... Proverbs 3:5-6

Naaman was a great and honourable man, also a might man of valour, but he was a leper 2 Kings 5:1

A great man with no hope of a cure, we can have so much going for us, BUT have a BUT in our lives. No hope, No cure, No answer. Please read this story. A servant girl said “If only my master were with the prophet in Samaria, He would heal him.”

Naaman in all his pomp and glory went to see the man of God. On his way he imagined how it would all take place, and he would be healed!!! You can’t put God in a box. He will do it His way. Elisha sent his servant and told him to go and wash seven times in the Jordan. Naaman got very angry, because this did not look like the answer to him. Anger causes many people to miss God and His miracle working power.

When he was obedient, he was healed, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child (Verse 14)

God’s word is eternal and will never pass away or lose it’s power. Start today and read and study the Bible. Find answers for your life. Then by faith and trust step out and do it. Faith without works is dead.

Ask, Seek, Knock and Never give up. Matthew 7-12

Have an awesome faith filled week

Much Love
