When Covenants change, so to do the protocols governing provisions within
that covenant, both naturally and spiritually.
In Deuteronomy 28:1-2 we see how it functions under a covenant of law. The
essential principal is that if we fulfil certain conditions then God will
make certain provisions. In other words it is based on our own performance.
Nevertheless Jesus said this is the blood of the New Testament (Covenant)
and under grace the conditions of personal performance were removed and it
became about what Jesus has done rather than what we need to do.
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us
all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things
that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that
hath called us to glory and virtue
Please note that in 2 Peter (above) there are two distinct areas of
provision (a) Life – our natural physical life & (b) Godliness – our
spiritual walk
The blood of Jesus in the New Testament was sprinkled 7 times to fulfil the
prophetic type in Leviticus 16:14-15. Nevertheless they we told in Exodus
12 to transfer the blood from the basin to the door posts / lintels with a
bunch of Hyssop and this should be an ordinance to be kept forever. The
effectiveness of the blood depended entirely on the successful transfer
from the basin to the door post with Hyssop.
When this was done the blood required 2 things (a) Protection for the
people of God & (b) the execution of judgement on the god’s of Egypt
We need to be aware of the same principal today.
Revelations 12:10-11 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his
Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them
before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the
Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives
unto the death.
Today the “word of our testimony” takes the place of the hyssop of old.
When we declare what the blood of Jesus has accomplished for ourselves,
city and nation we are effectively transferring the blood spiritually to
the doors and lintels.
In being sprinkled seven times the blood has:
Spiritually (Godliness)
1. Redeemed us 2. Justified us 3. Cleansed us 4. Sanctified us 5.
Intercedes for us 6. Give us access 7. Eternal Life
Naturally (Life)
1. Restores our will 2. Give us peace 3. Prosperity 4. Healing 5. Authority
over what we touch 6. Authority where we walk 7. Acceptance and Joy
Blessings
