The Born-Again Person

The “new birth” through Jesus’ blood is the only way into the Kingdom of God. Jesus guaranteed us it is impossible to enter in “unless one is born again.”[Jn3:3] This born-again miracle is the greatest that we will ever witness; where the new believer is rebirthed of the Spirit of God, bringing change from the inside out. God has given us a living handbook or manual for successful living in The Bible. And He has sent His Spirit to earth to dwell in us that we may be fully equipped to live an abundant life now & on into eternity. What provision! What hope! What new ways to live by that we must now walk in! Look afresh at the awesomeness of your God – He alone is truly worthy to be praised!
A man; unable to stay silent any longer, stood up in a pro-communist meeting where the goodness of this idealism was being proclaimed & said: “Communism may put a new suit on a man, BUT Jesus Christ will put a new man in the suit!”. Do you remember the day of your new birth? The day you met Jesus & then went on to be water baptised and then filled with the Holy Spirit & endued with power from Heaven?
God said in His Word that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”[2Cor5:17].Do you believe it? This new creation is something that had never existed before – you are no mere human being, but recreated sons & daughters of the Creator of the Universe & beyond, the One & only true God. You are here for a short time, to run a race that you must keep running with your eyes on Jesus because there are many obstacles & stumbling blocks that you will encounter to get you off course & keep you from finishing.
As the body needs sustenance, so does the spirit, it is found in His Word, meant to be your daily food of your spirit life. Jesus said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” [Jn6:63] Spirit Life Christian Church is founded upon this scripture.
As born-again believers, we should have an abundant life because after all this is what Jesus has bought us into [Jn10:10]. He set us on a path, but we need to take each step and use energy to move forward establishing His kingdom in our lives. Our enemy would seek to get us off this path but we should open each day bolding declaring “This is the day that the Lord has made & in it I WILL REJOICE.” We have had a change of heart unto life that the Spirit has given us, therefore let us all guard our mouths that we should only allow ourselves to speak life & not death. Determine to live your life as the best born again child of God that you can – desiring to speak life to those around us. Don’t live with or tolerate the things which are not of God. You have the right to kick them out & cut them off for good.
Unfortunately, not all who start the race will finish it & even in Jesus’ day many walked away from Him when offended their minds to test their hearts – read in John 6:60-71. In this late hour that we live in, the battle to get you to walk away is greater. But in Jesus are found the Words of life & closer walk with Him is what will get us through in victory & abundant living.
Read Heb 4 11-31 again. His Word, our Bible, is a book like no other! Living & powerful; that as it is read, meditated on & obeyed, the Holy Spirit will use it to bring shaping into our lives that will cause us to become more & more like Jesus. Until one day, we will stand alone before Him & give an account of our life that we stewarded. So, knowing this – be alert to speak abundance before the need arises. Speak life, abundance & freedom over yourself & family daily. God said “you can have what you say but you keep saying what you have!”. So instead look to Jesus, He has given you the Words to say – “And my God shall supply all my needs ….” Or “I don’t have a spirit of fear, but love, power & a sound mind…” or “By His stripes I AM healed!” Jesus has the answer to all things, read the Word.
Speak the words of life & hope today that you will live well that others will see God in you.
