The Church in Action Pt 3 (Spiritual Warfare).
How We See Ourselves
There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants) and
we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers 13:33.
Over the past few weeks, I have been looking at our spiritual fight and our
need to stand, and stand strong in this hour of great darkness on the
earth. Of all the years I have been pastoring churches, I have never seen
so many people sick with life threatening diseases. Many in great spiritual
battles, as the enemy is out to steal to kill and to destroy. John 10:10b
But Jesus said ‘I have come that you may have life, and that you may have
it more abundantly.’
We have been looking at Ephesians 6:10-18 Please Read to see what our fight
is against, spiritual darkness.
How we need to put on the whole armor of God and fight off the devils
desperate attacks.
‘How we see ourselves’ is how we will stand. Our own self-worth. How do you
see yourself? So many of us find ourselves basing our self-worth on how
others see us, and on our accomplishments, feeling shame from our past,
defining our value based on our looks, or setting unrealistic standards for
ourselves. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We need to see ourselves as
God sees us.
Please look up and read these
2 Corinthians 5:17 If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation
Galatians 2:20b It’s no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
Colossians 3:3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Jesus.
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members
of it.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is the temple of the
Holy Spirit.
If we see ourselves as God sees us, then we will walk with our heads held
high, and in His Authority as His ambassadors on earth. We must dream about
and meditate on who we are in Christ, and who Christ is in us.
We don’t want destructive thoughts that will pull us down and cause us to
see ourselves as the spies said ‘we are like grasshoppers’.
Caleb quieted the people and said ‘Let us go up at once and take possession
for we are well able to overcome it.’ Numbers 13:30 The spies brought
back an evil report and said ‘we are not able to go up against the people,
for they are stronger that we! They had such a low self worth and looked at
the giants, but Caleb and Joshua looked at How Big God Was!
When I say the Church in action. I am saying, God has given us Great
Authority to Rule and Reign in this life, and to make a difference in the
lives of many.
The book of Acts, is a book of action and works of the Holy Spirit. I see
in Acts 8:1-8 Saul came against the church and made havoc in the house,
dragging off men and woman, and putting them in prison. As a result, they
went everywhere preaching the word. Philip stood in his authority and God
did great things through him.
Verse 6-7 ‘for unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many
who were paralyzed and lame were healed.’
There was great joy in that city. This is a church in action and how these
people saw themselves, as giants in God’s Hands. ‘How do you see yourself?’
Have a great week and walk in your God given Authority and Anointing.
