Behold what manner of love The Father has bestowed on us, that we should be
called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it
did not know Him
1 John 3:1
The disciple John was very close to Jesus and sat next to Him at the last
supper. He was the youngest disciple and trusted with the care of Mary the
mother of Jesus. He died at almost 100 years old and wrote 4 books, John
Gospel, 1st & 2nd John and the book of Revelation. The major theme of 1
John is fellowship with God. John wants his readers to have assurance of
the indwelling God through their abiding relationship with Him.
We just celebrated Father’s Day, and I wanted to look at the Father’s heart
and His love for you and me.
John starts with the word ‘Behold’ means to look with wonder at the kind
and quantity of love the Father has given freely and without merit to men.
Ephesians 3:17-19 “To know the love of Christ’
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ.
Luke 15:11-32 Is a story about the Prodigal son, This parable reveals the
Heart of the Father. The father gave him his portion of his inheritance.
But things did not go too good for this son. Our Father is always looking
for His kids, to love and forgive them. He came to his senses. Verse 20 It
was in the Father’s arms that so much happened for him. Forgiven and
restored back into his right place. A very powerful story of the love and
the heart of the Father. This is just an outline. Please listen to the
message.
Have a great week with much love
