Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is
above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those
in heaven, an of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God
the Father Philippians 2:9-11
Jesus came from heaven to earth, was born of a virgin in Bethlehem, lived a
perfect life and died on a cross an atoning sacrificial death. He was
buried in a tomb and was raised victoriously, and ascended into heaven to
occupy His throne in Glory where God has highly exalted Him and given Him
the name which is above every name. Lordship was at the very heart of His
redemptive work on the cross. Paul makes this clear in Romans 14:8-9 For if
we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that he might be Lord
of both the dead and the living.
There is coming a day when every person who has ever lived will bow and
acknowledge that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But for
the Christian that great confession should be everyday reality. A Christian
should live moment by moment in faithful submission to the Lordship of
Jesus Christ.
On Sunday morning 14/4/2019 I was preaching on ‘Jesus is Lord’ and we sang
an old song that we used to sing back in the ‘70’s ‘He is Lord He is Lord
He is risen from the dead and He is Lord.... every knee’ You may remember
this very powerful song?
It took me to my born again experience in 1973 when I made Jesus my Lord
and Saviour. Listen to my testimony of my journey on the road to salvation.
I say if God could save me, He can save anyone. (You can hear this message

The central message of the Bible is that ‘Jesus Christ is Lord’
An American missionary Samuel Zwemer said ‘unless Jesus is Lord of all, He
is not Lord at all.’ This is a challenge to all Christians to bring every
area of or lives under the sovereign rule of Jesus.
What does it mean to say that Jesus Christ is Lord?
For Jesus to be Lord of your life means that He is the ruler, the boss, the
master of your whole life. He cannot be Lord of part - He must be given
control of the entire life - the whole life. ‘How?’ ‘yield your life to
Him.’ This involves taking your hands off the controls of your life and
allowing Him to be in control. Jesus raised an important question ‘But why
do you call me Lord, Lord, and not do the things I say Luke 6:46
Let this Easter be a special time for you as you make Him Lord of All
Your Life.
‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ Acts 17:20
Much Love and God’s Blessings
