The foundation of the Christian faith is built on belief. What you believe
will affect how you believe. Our foundation is the Word of God.
Matt 11:1-6 tells of John the Baptist in prison. His circumstances caused
him to question his faith. John asks his disciples if “Are you the Coming
one or do we look for another?” V3 Jesus reply was - “Tell John what you
see! and hear! - The blind see – the lame walk – the lepers are cleansed –
the deaf hear – the dead are raised – the poor have the Gospel preached
unto them!” (v4-5) By saying this, Jesus wanted to change Johns focus from
a ‘prison mentality’ to Himself.
Question: What do you believe? The ‘prison’ of circumstances or Gods
Promises?
What you ‘see’ will determine what you believe and what you believe will
determine what you speak. (V6) in The Passion Translation says it like
this:- “Tell John that the blessing of Heaven comes upon those that never
lose faith in Me – no matter what happens.” That's Believing!
Mark 16:15-20 -records the mandate for the Church “These signs will follow
those who believe…...the Lord working with them confirming the Word through
signs following.”
Nothing is impossible to those who believe.
Have a blessed week.
