I was reading in 1 Cor 16:9 where Paul stated “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries”. Then in 2 Cor 2:12b “A door was opened to me by the Lord”!!
I was looking up the meaning of the word January and discovered it means ‘The door of the year”. Wow, I never knew that! God has opened up for you and I a new door this year of many opportunities.
We set goals etc of what we want to achieve this year and start out excited but, there are never open doors without opposition and we can fall back into our old habit patterns.
Paul said a “great door” opened to us!
- A door of richer fellowship with God
- Come into a new place in our spiritual walk
- Love for Christ and a greater usefulness for Him
I am excited about 2012 for what we shall see take place in Tweed and Robina churches, as we all play our part to bring God’s kingdom in a greater way to the hearts of many.
It has been said that a pessimist is one who sees a difficulty in every opportunity. Whereas a optimist sees an opportunity in every difficulty. Let this be a year of seeing opportunities rather than difficulties.
If we have eyes to see, there are “open doors” everywhere.
