Potholes in the Road – A Word from The Pastor

Potholes in the Road

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life, you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your  right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me, your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.”

Psalms 138:7-8 ESV

Some 40 years ago I received Jesus  into my heart. My life changed when I received life. Jesus is my life and I trust He is yours as well. I realized many years ago Jesus didn’t come to merely add something nice to our lives. He came to BE our life. When I was in Haiti a few years back we were travelling on a road to the High Lands when I saw a couple of road signs.

The first sign said “Potholes ahead”. Potholes they were! We drove another hour or so and there’s another sign which said “Severe potholes ahead”. Severe they were! I said that, because during my soon 40-year walk with the Lord we have encountered some potholes and some severe potholes. But …. I have good news for you. Out of them all the Lord delivered us.

Psalms 138:8 “The Lord  will Fulfill his purpose for us all, His steadfast love, will endure forever.”

I invite you-right now, to stop, lift your heart and hands to the Lord and give Him thanks by Faith, the He is perfecting that which concerns you!!

Give Him thanks, give Him thanks, give Him thanks.
