Looking beyond this world
Ps Stuart Price
2Co 4:16 For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
2Co 4:18 we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.
Look at verse 16 the discussion about two people, the one seen and the one that is invisible.
The world is passing away, everything is temporary, except the things of the eternal. Focus on the eternal things the things that never die or end.
All our natural eyes can see is the physical they can’t see into the supernatural or eternity. That’s why we need to live from the inner man, to find a strength welling up inside of us, this is where we need to live from. Col 3:1-4 tells us to set our minds on things above. A simple example is where we place our focus is what we will see. If you purchased a new red car of a particular make and model you would suddenly see many of them on the road with you, you never saw them before.
Faith makes the unseen things visible, what you focus on is what you will see more of.
