Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." NKJ
This was the scripture last Sunday but before we look at that I would like to look at some scriptures from Psalms about prayer as we have been praying for people who at this time have been; isolated, lonely, having lost work and jobs, income, businesses suffering, etc.
Psalm 18:6 "In my distress I called upon the Lord,And cried out to my God;He heard my voice from His temple,And my cry came before Him, even to His ears".
and then Psalm 34:4 "I sought the Lord, and He heard me,And delivered me from all my fears".
When we don't know what to do, a good thing to do is pray, as you read these two verses you will see how David cried out and God and He delivered him from all of his fears, and that his cry went up to Heaven. It is the same for you and I today that when we don't know what to do, pray! And God will hear your prayers and send answers from Heaven.
Also Mark 11:20-24 "20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.23 Forassuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
Our words are powerful and we spend most of the time talking about the mountain, our sicknesses, diseases, fears, etcinstead of speaking to the mountain.
So going back to Galatians 2:20 Paul's teaching here from over 2000 years ago is as relevant today as it was when written. So he says the life which I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God. We only have one life we need to make it count. Some people say I will be happy when; I get married, leave school, get a job, out of this lockdown, all in the future, what about today? Will you will be happy now? Or only wait until these things come to pass in the future? Faith is now! Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here, all we have is now. Live every day to the fullness for Christ. I am happy to pray for people in this difficult time, if you would like prayer, please send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
